Pick Lusha if you want a price you can see before talking to sales, mostly need emails, and want monthly billing you can walk away from. Pick Seamless.ai if you need phone numbers at volume, because one Seamless credit returns a contact's emails and phones together while Lusha charges five credits for each phone number. Neither vendor publishes an independently audited accuracy rate, so the number that decides it is the one you measure on your own prospect list. The method to do that is below.
All prices and credit rules here were read on the vendors' own pricing and help pages on 2026-10-16. Nobody at LogicBalls ran searches in either tool for this comparison.
Key Takeaways
- Lusha prices are public; Seamless.ai's paid prices are not. Lusha lists Starter at $49.90/month for 400 credits (Lusha pricing, retrieved 2026-10-16); Seamless.ai's pricing page showed no dollar figures for paid plans when retrieved the same day.
- The credit unit is different. Lusha charges "1 credit" for a verified email and "5 credits" for a phone number; Seamless.ai says "Researching a contact uses 1 credit per contact", returning the full profile (Seamless.AI, What is a license, retrieved 2026-10-16).
- A Lusha phone number costs about $0.44 to $0.62 depending on plan and billing period, worked out from Lusha's own plan prices and credit counts.
- Seamless.ai refunds credits for invalid emails, not phones. Its Credit Back Protection "does not cover: Phone numbers" (Seamless.AI, Credit Back Protection, retrieved 2026-10-16).
- Both rely on legitimate interest, not consent. Lusha states it "does not collect active opt-in consent from individuals specifically for third-party outreach" (Lusha docs, retrieved 2026-10-16), so your outreach still needs its own lawful basis.
Quick verdict
| Lusha | Seamless.ai | |
|---|---|---|
| Public pricing | Yes: Free, Starter, Pro, Premium; Scale by quote | Free only; Basic, Pro, Enterprise by quote |
| What one credit buys | 1 verified email (phone = 5 credits) | 1 contact researched, emails and phones returned |
| Free plan | 40 credits per month | 50 credits, do not replenish |
| Refund for bad data | Not stated on pricing page | Invalid emails refunded; phones excluded |
| Best for | Small teams, email-first outreach, monthly billing | Phone-heavy prospecting at volume, annual budgets |

Test method: run your own 50-contact comparison
The calendar promise for this comparison was a head-to-head accuracy test. We did not run one, and we are not going to quote accuracy percentages from vendor marketing or anonymous reviews. What follows is the method a buyer can run in an afternoon on both free plans, which is the only accuracy figure that matters for your market anyway: data quality varies by country, seniority and industry, so a published average tells you little about your list.
- Pick 50 real targets. Use accounts you would actually prospect, split roughly the way your pipeline is (for example, 30 US, 20 EMEA). Write down name, company and LinkedIn URL in a spreadsheet.
- Spend the free credits. Lusha's free plan gives "up to 40 credits per month" (Lusha pricing, retrieved 2026-10-16). That is 40 emails, or 8 phone numbers, or a mix. Seamless.ai's free license gives "50 Universal Credits" that "do not replenish" (Seamless.AI, retrieved 2026-10-16), enough for all 50 contacts with whatever emails and phones each profile returns.
- Verify emails with a third party, not the vendor. Run every returned address through an independent email verifier and record valid, invalid and catch-all. Do not count catch-all addresses as valid.
- Verify phones by dialing. Mark each number as reached the right person, wrong person, switchboard, or dead. Note whether it was labeled mobile or direct dial.
- Score cost per valid contact. Divide what you would pay per lookup on the paid plan by the share of lookups that were valid. The formula and Lusha's per-credit cost are in the pricing section below.
Run both tools on the same names in the same week; contact data decays.
Email accuracy
Neither vendor's pricing page that we read publishes an email accuracy rate, and we found no independent, methodology-published benchmark comparing the two. What the vendors do publish is how they treat bad emails.
Lusha labels the action "Reveal verified email address – 1 credit" on its pricing page (Lusha pricing, retrieved 2026-10-16). The pricing page does not describe a refund for addresses that later bounce.
Seamless.ai runs a "virtual email verification" that pings the recipient's mail server at the moment you research the contact, and automatically refunds the credit when its own check finds the address invalid. The exclusions matter: temporary or soft bounces, role-based addresses such as info@ or sales@, and emails that were valid at verification but went inactive later are not covered (Seamless.AI, Credit Back Protection, retrieved 2026-10-16).
The refund helps when Seamless.ai's own verifier catches a bad address. It does nothing for an address that passed and then bounces in your sequence, which is what hurts sender reputation. Verify independently either way.
Phone accuracy
Phones are where the two credit models diverge most.
Lusha charges "Reveal a phone number – 5 credits" (Lusha pricing, retrieved 2026-10-16). Revealing both email and phone for one person costs 6 credits.
Seamless.ai returns phone numbers in the same 1-credit lookup as emails, but its Credit Back Protection "does not cover: Phone numbers" (Seamless.AI, retrieved 2026-10-16). A wrong or dead number is a sunk credit.
So if your motion is calling, Seamless.ai's model is cheaper per number returned as long as its numbers connect at a reasonable rate on your list. If you mostly email and only want phones for a handful of late-stage contacts, Lusha's model lets you pay for phones only when you need them. The dial test in step 4 above is what tells you which way it goes.
Credits and pricing
Lusha plans (retrieved 2026-10-16)
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Credits | Cost per email | Cost per phone |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | n/a | 40/month | $0 | $0 |
| Starter | $49.90/month | $449.10/year | 400/month (4,800/year) | $0.12 monthly, $0.09 annual | $0.62 monthly, $0.47 annual |
| Pro | $69.90/month | $629.10/year | 600/month (7,200/year) | $0.12 monthly, $0.09 annual | $0.58 monthly, $0.44 annual |
| Premium | $399.90/month | $3,599.10/year | 3,400/month (40,800/year) | $0.12 monthly, $0.09 annual | $0.59 monthly, $0.44 annual |
| Scale | Quote | Quote | Custom | n/a | n/a |
Prices and credits are from Lusha's pricing page (retrieved 2026-10-16); per-email and per-phone figures are our arithmetic from those numbers. Two rules change the math. On monthly plans, unused credits roll over and "accumulate up to twice the credit limit according to your plan". On annual plans, all credits are issued up front and unused credits reset at the end of the year. Lusha also says teams "larger than 5 users" should talk to sales.
Start with Lusha on the free plan, run the 50-contact test, and only then decide between monthly and annual. Monthly costs about a third more per credit but lets you stop.
Seamless.ai licenses (retrieved 2026-10-16)
Seamless.ai's help center lists what each license receives. Free: "50 Universal Credits", which do not replenish. Basic: "250 Universal Credits per month". Pro: "10,000 Universal Credits per month", refreshed on the contract date. Enterprise allowances are not listed; extra credits come as a pooled bulk purchase (Seamless.AI, What is a license, retrieved 2026-10-16). One credit researches one contact; Data Enrich and Autopilot also use 1 credit per contact, and AI Assistant interactions use 0.2 credits.
Seamless.ai's pricing page did not display paid-plan prices when we retrieved it, so we cannot give you a cost per contact. Two things to get in writing before you sign:
- The credit allowance. A September 2026 review by Overloop, a competing vendor, reports that Seamless.ai's pricing FAQ says Pro "starts at 10,000 annual credits" while the help center says 10,000 per month (Overloop, retrieved 2026-10-16). That is a twelvefold difference.
- Renewal terms. The same review reports that paid subscriptions are annual even when billed monthly, and that cancellation must be made "no later than 60 days before the next annual renewal date". We could not open Seamless.ai's terms page to confirm this (it returned an error), so treat it as reported, not verified.
If phones are central to your process, ask Seamless.ai for a quote on the license size you need, then run the cost formula below.
The formula that decides it
Cost per valid contact = (plan price ÷ credits) × credits per lookup ÷ valid rate from your test.
For Lusha on Pro annual, a phone lookup is $0.0874 × 5 = $0.44 before accuracy. If your dial test showed half the numbers reached the right person, each good number cost $0.87. Do the same with Seamless.ai's quoted price per credit, using 1 credit per lookup, and compare like with like.
Chrome extension workflow
Both tools are mostly used from a browser extension on LinkedIn, and both work similarly.
Lusha's extension runs on Chrome and Edge; Lusha says full functionality is not supported on Safari or Firefox. On a LinkedIn profile, search results page or company page, you click the Lusha icon to open the panel, reveal details, and push the contact to a connected CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive), choosing Lead, Contact or Account (Lusha docs, extension, retrieved 2026-10-16). Lusha's free plan includes the extension and CRM integrations (Lusha pricing).
Seamless.ai's extension works on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Recruiter. On a profile you click Find, which uses one credit, generates the profile with title, emails and phone numbers in the sidebar, and saves the contact to My Contacts in Seamless (Seamless.AI, Chrome extension on LinkedIn, retrieved 2026-10-16).
The workflow difference that matters: with Lusha you decide per contact whether to spend 1 credit or 6. With Seamless.ai every Find costs the same and returns everything it has.
Compliance
Both vendors process business contact data on a legitimate-interest basis rather than the individual's consent. That shifts work onto you.
Lusha says its practices are "aligned with major privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA", that it "relies on legitimate interest as the legal basis", and that "Customers are responsible for ensuring they have a valid legal basis for using Lusha's data in their outreach activities" and for managing opt-outs (Lusha docs, privacy compliance, retrieved 2026-10-16). Its trust center lists "SOC 2 Type II Certified" and "5 ISO Certifications" without naming the standards on that page (Lusha Trust Center, retrieved 2026-10-16).
Seamless.ai's privacy policy names "the furtherance of Seamless.AI's legitimate business interests" as its legal basis, offers a Privacy Request Center to "access, correct, or delete your personal data", and states that it "does not remove company information or summaries from its directory" (Seamless.AI privacy policy, retrieved 2026-10-16). The policy we read refers to a separate state consumer privacy policy for state-law rights.
What this means for you: if you prospect into the EU or UK, keep a record of why each contact is relevant to your offer, include an opt-out in every message, and suppress opt-outs across every tool you use.
The market leader: Apollo.io
Any honest comparison here has to mention Apollo.io, which many teams evaluate first because it combines a contact database with email sequencing. Its pricing page lists Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans, says credits are pooled across the team, granted at the start of each billing cycle, and do not roll over, and states Apollo services are ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified (Apollo pricing, retrieved 2026-10-16). The dollar prices and credit allowances load dynamically and did not appear in what we could retrieve, so check them on the page. If you also need a sequencer, price Apollo against Lusha plus a separate sending tool before deciding.
Who should pick which
Pick Lusha if:
- You are a team of five or fewer and want to see the price before a sales call.
- Your outreach is email-first and you want phones only for a few contacts per account.
- You want monthly billing with credit rollover.
Lusha is not for you if you need hundreds of direct dials a month: at 5 credits each, phones eat a Starter plan's 400 credits in 80 lookups.
Pick Seamless.ai if:
- Your reps call, and you want emails and phones from the same 1-credit lookup.
- You are comfortable with an annual commitment and can negotiate the credit allowance in writing.
Seamless.ai is not for you if you need to cancel on short notice or want a public price to budget against.
Pick neither yet if you have not run the 50-contact test. It costs nothing on either free plan, and it replaces every review score with a number from your own market. Frequently Asked Questions
Is Lusha or Seamless.ai more accurate?
There is no independent, published benchmark comparing the two that we could verify, and neither vendor's pricing page states an accuracy rate. Accuracy also varies by region and seniority. The reliable answer comes from running the same 50 prospects through both free plans, verifying emails with a third-party checker and dialing the phone numbers, then comparing valid rates.
How many credits does a phone number cost on Lusha?
Five. Lusha's pricing page lists "Reveal a phone number – 5 credits" and "Reveal verified email address – 1 credit". On the Starter plan's 400 monthly credits, that is 80 phone numbers or 400 emails, or any mix in between.
How much does Seamless.ai cost?
Seamless.ai does not publish paid-plan prices; Basic, Pro and Enterprise are quoted by sales. Its help center lists the allowances: 50 non-replenishing credits on Free, 250 per month on Basic and 10,000 per month on Pro. Confirm the allowance and renewal terms in your contract before signing.
Does Seamless.ai refund credits for bad data?
Partly. Credit Back Protection automatically refunds credits for emails Seamless.ai's own verification finds invalid. It excludes phone numbers, role-based emails, soft bounces and addresses that went inactive after verification.
Is using Lusha or Seamless.ai GDPR compliant?
Both vendors cite legitimate interest as their legal basis and put responsibility for outreach compliance on the customer. Using either tool does not make your outreach compliant by itself; you need a lawful basis for contacting each person, an opt-out in every message, and suppression of anyone who opts out.
How this guide was researched
We read Lusha's pricing page, trust center and documentation; Seamless.ai's help-center articles on licenses, Credit Back Protection and the Chrome extension, plus its privacy policy; and Apollo.io's pricing page, all on 2026-10-16. Where a vendor did not publish a figure, we said so, and the one third-party source used (Overloop, a competitor) is labeled as reported. The tools were compared from documentation, pricing and public information, not hands-on testing. LogicBalls may earn a commission from some links in this post, which does not change the comparison or the order.
