Replit Secures $250 Million Funding Round

Replit, the popular collaborative coding platform, has raised $250 million in a fresh funding round that values the company at a massive $3 billion. The round was led by Prysm Capital, with participation from Amex Ventures and Google’s AI Futures Fund. Existing backers such as Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Craft Ventures, and Paul Graham also took part.

From $1.16B to $3B in Just Two Years

This milestone comes less than two years after Replit’s last funding round in 2023, when it raised about $100 million at a $1.16 billion post-money valuation. The latest raise brings Replit’s total funding to approximately $478 million, according to PitchBook estimates.

Remarkable Revenue Growth

Founded in 2016 by Amjad Masad, Faris Masad, and Haya Odeh, Replit has seen explosive business momentum. The company revealed its annualized revenue has soared from $2.8 million to $150 million in under a year. Just in June 2025, CEO Amjad Masad noted the company had already crossed $100M in annual recurring revenue (ARR) — showing how rapidly the platform is scaling.

Strategic Backing from Google and Microsoft

Google’s continued involvement in Replit is no surprise. The two companies have long partnered through Google Cloud, where many Replit-powered apps are hosted. But the growing developer demand for Replit has also drawn attention from rivals. In July 2025, Microsoft announced a partnership to bring Replit to Azure, marking a significant win for the startup while signaling how central it has become to the AI coding landscape.

The Bigger Picture

Replit’s surge reflects the rising adoption of AI-powered developer tools and the growing trend of “vibe coding” — where developers can quickly spin up projects using AI assistance. With its latest funding, Replit is expected to fuel global expansion, enhance AI-driven coding capabilities, and compete directly with established players like GitHub Copilot.
